Two MIHP faculty members, Karen Donelan and Alexandra Shields, have written chapters that appear in the newly released book Toward the Elimination of Cancer Disparities:  Medical and Health Perspectives, edited by Howard K. Koh, MD, MPH, and published by Springer (2009).  Dr. Koh is currently the Harvey V. Fineberg Professor of Public Health at the Harvard School of Public Health.  The book combines clinical and public health perspectives on reducing the unequal burden of cancer across population subgroups.  Dr. Donelan's chapter is entitled "Overcoming Barriers to Care: Patient and Public Perspectives."  Dr. Shields wrote a chapter entitled "Genes, Environment and Cancer Disparities" with co-authors Stephanie Fullerton and Kenneth Olden.
